bisam paykhai bisam sunee-ai bismaad nadree aa-i-aa.

jil Qil mhIAil pUrn suAwmI Git Git rihAw smwieAw ]
jal thal mahee-al pooran su-aamee ghat ghat rahi-aa samaa-i-aa.

ijs qy aupijAw iqsu mwih smwieAw kImiq khxu n jwey ]
jis tay upji-aa tis maahi samaa-i-aa keemat kahan na jaa-ay.

Sorat’h, Fifth Mehla:

gux gwvhu pUrn AibnwsI kwm kRoD ibKu jwry ]
gun gaavahu pooran abinaasee kaam krodhh bikh jaarae ||
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect, Imperishable Lord, and the poison of sexual desire and anger shall be burnt away.

mhw ibKmu Agin ko swgru swDU sMig auDwry ]1]
mehaa bikham agan ko saagar saadhhoo sa(n)g oudhhaarae ||1||
You shall cross over the awesome, arduous ocean of fire, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||

pUrY guir myitE Brmu AMDyrw ]
poorai gur maettiou bharam a(n)dhhaeraa ||
The Perfect Guru has dispelled the darkness of doubt.

Bju pRym Bgiq pRBu nyrw ] rhwau ]
bhaj praem bhagath prabh naeraa || rehaao ||
Remember God with love and devotion; He is near at hand. ||Pause||

hir hir nwmu inDwn rsu pIAw mn qn rhy AGweI ]
har har naam nidhhaan ras peeaa man than rehae aghaaee ||
Drink in the sublime essence, the treasure of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and your mind and body shall remain satisfied.

jath kath poor rehiou paramaesar kath aavai kath jaaee ||2||
The Transcendent Lord is totally permeating and pervading everywhere; where would He come from, and where would He go? ||2||

jap thap sa(n)jam giaan thath baethaa jis man vasai guopaalaa ||
One whose mind is filled with the Lord, is a person of meditation, penance, self-restraint and spiritual wisdom, and a knower of reality.

nwmu rqnu ijin gurmuiK pwieAw qw kI pUrn Gwlw ]3]
naam rathan jin guramukh paaeiaa thaa kee pooran ghaalaa ||3||
The Gurmukh obtains the jewel of the Naam; his efforts come to perfect fruition. ||3||

kil klys imty duK sgly kwtI jm kI Pwsw ]
kal kalaes mittae dhukh sagalae kaattee jam kee faasaa ||
All his struggles, sufferings and pains are dispelled, and the noose of death is cut away from him.

khu nwnk pRiB ikrpw DwrI mn qn Bey ibgwsw ]4]12]23]
kahu naanak prabh kirapaa dhhaaree man than bheae bigaasaa ||4||12||23||
Says Nanak, God has extended His Mercy, and so his mind and body blossom forth. ||4||12||23||
