Everyone around me now blossoms forth, everything around me blossoms.
Guru Arjan Dev Ji says gun gaavahi pooran parmaysur kaaraj aa-i-aa raasay.
gun means praises gaavahi to sing, by singing the praises of who, pooran one who is perfect, parmaysar, parm means highest, ishar means Lord, God, by singing the praises of the perfect Waheguru kaaraj aa-i-aa raasay - kaaraj means all affairs, worldly things aa-i-aa to come raasay to fruition, everything’s come to fruition, everything’s been resolved, everything is now sorted out with the Guru’s Grace. The Guru has blessed me and my affairs are now resolved by meditating upon Waheguru, by singing his praises.
parabh aap su-aamee aapay rakhaa aap pitaa aap maa-i-aa.
su-aamee the lord himself aape rakhaa - rakhaa means to protect, He himself protects me aap pitaa aap maa-i-aa, He himself is your pita means your father, He himself is maa-i-aa means your mother.
kaho naanak satgur balihaaree jin ayhu thaan suhaa-i-aa. ||1||

I am a sacrifice to the Guru who has graced my soul, graced my mind with his presence. I am a sacrifice to Him again and again.
ghar mandar hatnaalay sohay jis vich naam nivaasee raam.
ghar mandar hatnaalay - homes, palaces market places, sohay means to be beautiful, Guru ji is saying jis vich naam nivaasee raam - in which the name of God nivaasee - to abide in those places where the people repeat the name of God those places are blessed. Why does our head automatically bow when we go to Siri Harmandir Sahib, also known to the world as the Golden Temple, why does our head bow automatically, because there 24/7 the name of God is chanted and automatically you feel that this place is blessed. Wherever someone does simran, that place is blessed. Guru ji says in bani jithai naam japee-ai parabh pi-aaray, say asthal so-in cha-ubaaray. (105-7, Maajh, Fifth Mehla:) the place where you meditate that place has so much blessings, as if made of gold. Now Guru ji is talking of our body as well, that body in which the naam abides, which naam is being meditated upon that is a blessed place as well, that is, blessed place by Waheguru.
sant bhagat har naam araaDheh katee-ai jam kee faasee raam.
bhagat - the saints, the bhagats the devoted ones har naam means the name of the Lord araaDheh means to worship upon in adoration, they wordship the name of God. What happens by doing that - katee-ai jam kee they cut through jam means death kee faasee the noose, the noose of death is cut through by those people, they don’t die again.
kaatee jam faasee parabh abhinaasee har har naam Dhi-aa-ay.

sant sajan sukh maaneh ralee-aa dookh darad bharam naasee.
