In the realm of land, and in the realm of water, Your seat is the chamber of the four directions.

Wherever I look, there I see Your Light, but what is Your form?

The beings born of eggs, born of the womb, born of the earth and born of sweat, all are created by You.

I have seen one glory of Yours, that You are pervading and permeating in all. ||3||

Your Glories are so numerous, and I do not know even one of them; I am such a fool - please, give me some of them!

Guru Nanak Devji Maharaji is talking in the Sorath raag. The Sorath raag being a powerful raag, in which the praises of God are sung and understood. In this raag Siri Guru Nanak Devji says, “Purr dhharathee purr paanee aasan chaar ku(n)tt choubaaraa.” Within the whelm of the land and the water and the chamber of the four directions of the earth, that is Your throne. Basically His throne is everywhere, God is everywhere in all forms and all places. “Sagal Bhavan Kee Moorath Eaekaa Mukh Thaerai Ttakasaalaa” You are the one and only unifying form of the entire universe. This whole universe is God’s form. It is all the sargun; visible form of God. Your mouth manufactures the world. Your shabad created the world. You are the creator and You are in the creation. When Guru Nanak saw this in everything He said, “Maerae Saahibaa Thaerae Choj Viddaanaa.” Oh my master, the game You play is wonderful, so mystifying. Jal Thhal Meheeal Bharipur Leenaa Aapae Sarab Samaanaa. You are pervading and permeating through the land, water and sky. You Yourself are absorbed in all of your creations.

Rehaao. Guruji says, “Pause and think about this.”

Jeh Jeh Dhaekhaa Theh Joth Thumaaree Thaeraa Roop Kinaehaa. Wherever I look I see Your beautiful light. But then Guruji asks the question, “What is Your true form?” Then Guruji answers this in the next line, “Eikath Roop Firehi Parashha(N)Naa Koe N Kis Hee Jaehaa.” You have one form which is everywhere but it is unseen. The IkOangKaar is in everyone but is unseen, it is Nirgun. Guruji says, “You have made such a great, beautiful game on this Earth because no one on this Earth is like any other. Even two flowers are different and distinct.” Guruji is telling us, “There is one unifying form of IkOangKaar going through everyone but He is creating so many variations.” So much beauty! Diversity is the key.

A(N)Ddaj Jaeraj Outhabhuj Saethaj Thaerae Keethae Ja(N)Thaa. Creatures who are born out of eggs, born out of the womb, born out of the earth, born out of the sweat and dust are created by You, oh Waheguru! Eaek Purab Mai Thaeraa Dhaekhiaa Thoo Sabhanaa Maahi Rava(N)Thaa. I have seen one great, glorious virtue of Your’s, What is that? You are pervading through all. You make all these creatures, You are the creator and yet You are in the creation. You are everywhere God. A man who makes clay pot cannot be in the clay pot because he has made the clay pot. He is the creator but he is not in the creation. But God is such a great creator He not only creates but He is within His creation.

Thaerae Gun Bahuthae Mai Eaek N Jaaniaa Mai Moorakh Kishh Dheejai. Your virtues, Your glories are beyond count. I cannot even know one of them. I am studid please give me some of Your love, some of Your virtues because I have none. Pranavath Naanak Sun Maerae Saahibaa Ddubadhaa Pathhar Leejai. Listen my Lord and my Master to my plea, I am sinking in this world, in this illusion, like a stone please save me. Please grace me with Your love.

Guruji is saying, “God has made such a beautiful game. He is the Karta Purakh yet He is within the creation The creator is within the creation and the creation is within the creator.” What a beautiful game God has created.
