Satguruji is talking to us in the Soohi Raag being a raag in which the soul is imbued in the crimson colour of love and in this deep colour of affection Guru Maharaj ji says, “Raas ma(n)ddal keeno aakhaaraa.” Raas manddal means this world, keeno means to make, aakhaaraa means a stage or a play. God has created this play of the world. We play our parts like actors. We act out our roles within this drama.
Sagalo saaj rakhiou paasaaraa. Sagalo means all, saaj means to make, rakhiou means to keep, paasaaraa means the whole creation. Waheguru Ji created this whole creation, this whole play. Not only did Waheguru created the play but he plays the play and is within the play. Waheguruji directs the play, acts in the play and He is the audience watching the play as well.
Rehaao. Guruji says, “Pause and think about this.”
Bahu bidhh roop ra(n)g aapaaraa. Bahu means in many, bidhh means ways, roop means forms, rang means colours, aapaaraa means limitless. In many ways He created this world, in all these different ways, in all these different colours, in many different forms, in many different colours. It is limitless in how many ways Waheguruji has created this world, how many things He has created.
Paekhai khusee bhog nehee haaraa. Paekhai means to watch, khusee means happiness, bhog means whilst enjoying the world, nehee means to not, haaraa means to give up. Waheguru watches this world in happiness. He keeps enjoying this place so much He never tires enjoying watching and playing the game. Waheguru Ji does not get tired of watching this game again and again.
Sabh ras laith basath niraaraa. Sabh means all, ras means pleasures, laith means to enjoy, basath means but, niraaraa means unattached. Waheguru enjoys all the pleasures but He remains unattached. Guruji is telling us to live our lives as Waheguru has created the world. Waheguru has created the world in a such a way that He enjoys all the pleasures but He remains unattached and that the way we have to live our lives.
Baran chihan naahee mukh n maasaaraa. Baran means colour, chihan means some sort of formal sign, naahee means none, much means mouth, maasaaraa means beard. Waheguru has no colour, no outward symbols, no mouth, no beard; none of these tangible things. “Chakar chin arr baran jaat ar paat nahin jai.” Guru Gobind Singh ji says in Jaap Sahib. He has no form, He has no name, He has no colour.
Kehan n jaaee khael thuhaaraa. Kehan means to say, n means cannot, jaaee means to do, khael means play, thuhaaraa means yours. “I cannot even begin describing how you play your game, Oh Waheguru.” says Guru Arjun Devji.
Naanak raen sa(n)th charanaaraa. Raen means the dust, santh means the saints, charanaaraa means feet. “I is simply the dust of the feet of the saints.” Guruji says. That is the only way to cross across this earth.
Maharajji is telling us how Waheguru plays the game and how He watches the game in happiness and how He sees all these things. How He enjoys all the pleasures but remains unattached. Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji said in Bachitar Natak, “Mai ho param purakh ko dasaa, dekhan ayeyo jagat tamasaa.” We are simply here to act out our roles in this life, on this stage. Lets live up to our roles, lets act them out well and lets remember this world is false. The only reality is Waheguru Ji’s Naam. Without that no friends, no relatives, no one would be with you in the end. You will be alone. It will be you and God’s name. That’s the only thing that will be with you for ever and ever.
Raas ma(n)ddal keeno aakhaaraa. Sagalo saaj rakhiou paasaaraa. Rehaao.
Jaikara Gazawe!
Nihaal Ho Jawe!
Sahib Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji De Man Nu Bhave!
Sat Siri Akal, Gur Bar Akal!
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
