Waheguru JI Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Todays’s hukmnama is by Guru Amardas ji n Ang 517 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Maharj ji
Siri Guru Amardas ji Maharaj speaks to us today and says.
khaeth miaalaa oucheeaa ghar ouchaa nirano
khaeth means field; oucheeaa means to raise. With the Guru’s grace I have raised the miaalaa, the embankments that go around the field. I have raised the embankments of the field of my mind. And now what do I do? ghar ouchaa nirano. Ghar means look at; nirano means house; ouchaa means high. I have raised the embankments of my mind. I have raised myself out of my desires. What Guruji is saying is that, with the Guru’s grace, I have raised myself up. I have been raised out of ghar ouchaa nirano, and now I am looking at merging myself with Waheguru.
mehal bhagathee ghar sarai sajan paahuniao
When bhagathee, when devotion, when love, when faith, when true devotion ghar sari enters into the mind of the soul bride, then what happens? Then the friend, sajan, the beloved Lord then blesses her by visiting her.
barasanaa th baras ghanaa bahurr barasehi kaahi
Guruji says, barasanaa th baras ghanaa, Oh cloud! If you are going to rain and rain, barasanaa th barasghanaa. But why do you rain after the rainy season has passed?
naanak thinh balihaaranai jinh guramukh paaeiaa man maahi
Nanaak is a sacrifice, balilhaaranai, to those people, jinh guramukh, to those guramukh, to those followers of the Guru, who have paaeiaa man maahi. Who have found God within their minds, within their souls, within their hearts.
mehla 3
Guruji says, mit(h)aa so jo bhaavadhaa sajan so j raas
That which is pleasing to us, that which pleasures us, is mit(h)aa, is sweet. Sajan so j rass. And only that person can be considered a friend, who is raas, who sincere, who is truthful to you at all times.
naanak guramukh jaaneeai jaa ko aap karae paragaas
Nanaak says, Oh Nanaak! Guramukh jaaneeai, only that person can be considered a gurmukh, jaako aap karae paragaas, who Waheguru, Himself, brings into paragaas, brings into enlightenment.
