grib gihlVo mUVVo hIE ry ]
garab gehilarro moorrarro heeou rae ||
My foolish heart is in the grip of pride.

hIE mhrwj rI mwieE ] fIhr inAweI moih PwikE ry ] rhwau ]
heeou meharaaj ree maaeiou || ddeehar niaaee mohi faakiou rae || rehaao ||
By the Will of my Lord God, Maya, like a witch, has swallowed my soul. ||Pause||

Gxo Gxo Gxo sd loVY ibnu lhxy kYTY pwieE ry ]
ghano ghano ghano sadh lorrai bin lehanae kait(h)ai paaeiou rae ||
More and more, he continually yearns for more; but unless he is destined to receive, how can he obtain it?

meharaaj ro gaathh vaahoo sio lubharriou nihabhaagarro bhaahi sa(n)joeiou rae ||1||
He is entangled in wealth, bestowed by the Lord God; the unfortunate one attaches himself to the fire of desires. ||1||

sun man seekh saadhhoo jan sagalo thhaarae sagalae praashhath mittiou rae ||
Listen, O mind, to the Teachings of the Holy Saints, and all your sins shall be totally washed away.
