saajan aae vut(h)ae ghar maahee ||4||1||
The Lord, my Friend has come to dwell within the home of my heart. ||4||1||
Become a gurmmukh, one who faces the Guru, one who follows the Guru. And what will you get? The fruits of this will be har. You will find, you will become one with god.
guramukh fal paavahu har naam dhhiaavahu janam janam kae dhookh nivaarae ||
As a gurmukh, you will find the fruit of God. Why? How? If you har naam dhhiaabahu, if you meditate, if you concentrate on the hari naam, on Waheguruji’s naam, on Waheguruji’s name, on the guru mantra, then janam janam, your dukh your penance janam janam the penance of many lifetimes nirvaarae will be taken away.
Guru Amar Das ji says I am balihaaree. I am a sacrifice. I am balihaaree to who? To my Guru.
har prabh kirapaa karae har jaapahu sukh fal har jan paavahu ||
If the Guru, if Waheguru, if Hari, if the Lord, if fPrabh, if God, if the Lord bestows his grace upon you, his kirpaa, then what happens? You meditate upon Hari, you jap the name of Waheguru. And what will you receive? sukh fal har jan paavahu. O arjan, O servant of God! You will find eternal peace as the fruit of this meditation, as the result of this meditation.
Nannak says, listen, Oh my friends, Oh my brothers. sukh so har dhhif . You want peace, if you want eternal ecstacy, then meditate upon Waheguru.
Guruji has gone through the state of meditation, of jap, of naam simran. And now Guruji is going onto the state of listening. And Guruji says sun har gun. By listending to the har gun, the prasies, the har gun of Waheguru, bheenae, I am drenched in sehaj subhaaeae in his love. Following the Guru’s mantra, the Guru’s wisdom with sehaj subhaaeae with loving devotion, I meditate upon the name of Wahguru.
jin ko dhhur likhiaa thin gur miliaa thin janam maran bho bhaagaa
Those who have such destiny written on their forehead, dhhur likhiaa, preordained destiny, thin gur miliaa, those people meet the guru Then what happens? thin janam maran bho bhaagaa, That fear, that janam, that fear of birth and death leaves them.
a(n)dharahu dhuramath dhoojee khoee so jan har liv laagaa ||
From inside themslves, the dhuramath, the evil-mindedness, the things which take us away from the Guru, and dhoojee khoee, and duality, dhoojee, khoee, is gone. Duality means being in two minds. You cannot be in two minds if you are are going to follow God, if you are going to merge into God. You must remove your ego to allow God toenter.
Upon whom, maerai suaamee, My Lord, has bestwoed his kirpaa, his grace, thin anadhin har gun gaaeae. Those people honor hims day and night Thye sing the har gun, the prasies of Waheguru, of Hari.
Listening to the praises of Waheguru, man my mind is drenched in Gurujis love. Now Guru ji goes on to talk about this age.
jug mehi raam naam nisathaaraa ||
In this age, guru says, raam naam, the only way you can be liberated is by meditateing on raam naam, meditating on the name, the eternal word, the shabad.
Gur thae oupjai But where do you find this name? Where do you find the shabad? The quesiton comes. And Guru Amar Das jii answers this question. gur thae oupajai. The understanding of the shabd, the understandng of the word, the understanding of that eternal mantra, comes from the Guru. Guru Granth Sahibjii, who is the guru, who is the shabad guru, who is the guru of the shabad.
gur sabadh veechaaraa raam naam piaaraa jis kirapaa karae s paaeae ||
Only those people upon whom Waheguru showers his kirpaa, will find the veerchaaraa, the understanding , the veechaaraa, of the word, of the shabad, of the etrnal vibration. And then, what else do they obtain? raam naam piaaraa. They obtain raam naam piaaraa. They obtain love, raam naam, for name of Waheguru, for the name of raam, for the name of Allah.
sehajae gun gaavai dhin raathee kilavikh sabh gavaaeae ||
Sehajae, in peace, in complete balance, these people, who are blessed, sing the gun, the praises of Waheguru dhin raathee, day and night. And what happens when tthey do th is. Sabh means all, kilavikh means sins, gavaaeae means taken away. All of their sins are taken aaway.
Now Guruji talks to Waheguru. Sabh means everything, ko means all. Everything is yours Waheguru, thoo sbahanaa and you belong to everyone. thoo hamaaraa and you are mine.
In this age, Guruji says, raam naam, liberation is only achieved by meditating upon the Naam.
saajan aae vut(h)ae ghar maahee ||
Then Guruji talks about the last stage. My Lord, my friend aae vut(h)ae has come, in the home of my heart. My friend has come. My friend has come into the home of my heart. My friend is here, Waheguru is here.

in all ten directions, the har jan servant of Wahe i s worshipped. Why? Because he mediates on Waheguru, the name of God.
naanak har aapae jorr vishhorrae har bin ko dhoojaa naahee ||
in thise last lines. Nanaak, Oh Nanaak, har aapae jorr vishhorrae, he joins and spearates us. Without Waheguru there is no other, ther e is no dhoojaa.
saajan aae vut(h)ae ghar maahee ||4||1||
