Today Guru Ram Das speaks to us in the raag bairaarree dhupadhae.
Bhairaaree means foot. Literally the shabad has two feet and two parts. Guruji says ik oa(n)kaar sathigur prasaadh. There is one eternal, creative, nourishing, destroying, akhaal purakh, sathigur prasaadh, who is found through the True Guru’s grace.
sun man akathh kathhaa har naam
Sun man, Oh My man, my mind! And Guruji says, sun, Listen! To what? Akathh kathhaa har naam. The unspeakable speech, the unspoken speech of the name of Waheguru. And every sound that we hear with our human ears is without two things colliding together. Particles colliding together, and physical things colliding together create a sound. But this akathh kathhaa goes on without the aid of anything else. This akathh kathhaa, this unspoken speech, is being spoken throughout the universe.
ridhh budhh sidhh sukh paavehi bhaj guramath har raam raam. rehaao
What will you get? You will get ridhh, You will get budhh, any material gain you want. You will get sikdh, all spiritual power, and sukh, peace. Paavehi, how? By meditating on this Naam, through the Guru’s wisdom, through the Guru’s teaching. What do you have to meditate on? Har r aam raam. You have to meditate on that Hari, on that Waheguru.
Rehaoo. Waheguru ji says, Pause and think about this.
naanaa khiaan puraan jas ootham khatt dharasan gaavehi raam
Naanaa means many, khiann means stories, puraan means the shastras. What do they do? They sing the jas, the praise, which is ootaham, which is highest. Of whom? Of raam.
sa(n)kar krorr thaethees dhhiaaeiou nehee jaaniou har maramaam
sa(n)kar krorr thaethees dhhiaaeiou. Sa(n)kar is Shiva and krorr thaethees, the 300 and 30 millions of gods and angelic beings all meditate on Waheguru. nehee jaaniou har maramaam. But even they janniou, do not know the maramaam, the true glory, the true extent, the true blessings of Waheguru. Even they cannot fathom his greatness, his glory, his mystery
sur nar gan ga(n)dhhrab jas gaavehi sabh gaavath jaeth oupaam
sur, the humans, the nar, the angelic beings, the gan ga(n)chhrab jas gaavehi, the celestial divine singers, the cherubs, they all sing jas gaavehi, Wahguru’s praises. Sabh gaavath jaeth oupaam. Sabh, all of the things, sabh gaavath, all of them sing. Every single part of creation is singing out, Waheguru! At all times. Throughout each heart, Waheguru is speaking.
naanak kirapaa karee har jin ko thae sa(n)th bhalae har raam
naanak kirapaa karee har jin ko thae. Oh Nanaak! Upon those people, upon whom Waheguru, upon whom Hari, upon whom Prabh(u) has done blessing, who has blessed with His mercy, What happens to those people? sa(n)th bhalae har raam. They become bhalae. They become beings, sa)n)th, holy saints. And everything they do is bhalae, Everything they do is out of love, is out of compassion, out of kindness, Every action of theirs is to save this world , save this universe, har raam, Through your name, Oh Waheguru! Oh Raam! Oh Hari! Oh Prabh(u).
Today’s hukamnama is telling us today, Oh my mind! Listen to that Naam which is beating within you. And be blessed with ultimate love. Let Sat(h) Guruji do kirpa, and be focused and meditate upon this Divine Message. Throughout the day we may do our dhhaas that Waheguru does that kirpa on all of us and all the World.
