Maadha-o- O my Lord, Waheguru Ji, your birad, your nature, is to be patit paavan. paavan means pure and patit means those who sin. You are the purifier of those who sin. Waheguru Ji, you can even purify those who have sinned. This is your way, this is your nature.

Bhagat Ji says on my maathai, on my forehead, I have applied the dhoor - the dust of the charnan - of the lotus feet of the gobind - of the creator, the nourisher, Waheguru of the universe. The dust of the feet of Guruji’s, I have applied on my forehead.

sur nar mun jan tinhoo tay door. ||1|| rahaa-o ||
Bhagat Ji says the love for Waheguru goes beyond the sur- the gods and goddesses, the angels, nar - all humans, mun - all the silent sages and saints, jan - the servants, it goes all beyond them. tinhoo tay door This love is something which is sublime, which takes one into ecstasy, beyond the angelic beings. But if you burn in egotistical pride then you will loose everything.
