saaDhsang har har naam chitaaraa.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

shij AnMdu hovY idnu rwqI AMkuru Blo hmwrw ] rhwau ]
sahj anand hovai din raatee ankur bhalo hamaaraa. rahaa-o.
I am in peaceful poise and bliss, day and night; the seed of my destiny has sprouted. ||Pause||

guru pUrw ByitE bfBwgI jw ko AMqu n pwrwvwrw ]
gur pooraa bhayti-o badbhaagee jaa ko ant na paaraavaaraa.
I have met the True Guru, by great good fortune; He has no end or limitation.

kru gih kwiF lIE jnu Apunw ibKu swgr sMswrw ]1]
kar geh kaadh lee-o jan apunaa bikh saagar sansaaraa. ||1||
Taking His humble servant by the hand, He pulls him out of the poisonous world-ocean. ||1||

janam maran kaatay gur bachnee bahurh na sankat du-aaraa.
Birth and death are ended for me, by the Word of the Guru’s Teachings; I shall no longer pass through the door of pain and suffering.

naanak saran gahee su-aamee kee punah punah namaskaaraa. ||2||9||28||
Nanak holds tight to the Sanctuary of his Lord and Master; again and again, he bows in humility and reverence to Him. ||2||9||28||

Guru Arjan Dev ji speaks to us in the Todee Raag today and Guru Sahib ji says,

saaDhsang har har naam chitaaraa, saaDhsang , in the company of the holy, in the congregation of the saints, har har naam chitaaraa, chitaaraa, meditate upon, remember naam, the Name of Hari, the Name of Waheguru. Then what will happen?

sahj anand hovai din raatee ankur bhalo hamaaraa, those people who meditate in the Sadh Sangat, in the holy congregation upon the naam, their ankur, their fortune of bhalo are blessed. They have great fortune, Guru Sahib ji says. My fortune, my destiny is blessed when I have gone into the Sadh Sangat to meditate upon the naam. Then what happens? I go into sahj anand, into complete poise and balance and bliss, true bliss, which remains din raatee, day and night. Incomplete happiness, sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are sad, but complete anand stays day and night.

rahaa-o, Guru Arjan Dev ji says, Pause and Think about this.

gur pooraa bhayti-o badbhaagee jaa ko anth na paaraavaaraa, gur pooraa bhayti-o badbhaagee, only those people have badbhaag, who have great fortunes, bhayti-o, meet the pooraa guru, the True perfect Guru. jaa ko anth na paaraavaaraa, there is no anth, there is no paaraavaaraa, there is no limit, there nothing which can fathom the greatness of the True Guru. What does the True Guru do?

kar geh kaadh lee-o jan apunaa bikh saagar sansaaraa, kar geh kaadh lee-o jan apunaa, he takes his apunaa, apunaa means his own, jan, humble servant, and what does he do? kar geh, kar means hand, geh means to hold on, Waheguru ji holds on to the hand of His humble servant; kaadh lee-o, and pulls him out, of what? bikh saagar sansaaraa, the sagar, the ocean of bikh, of poison, Guru ji says, sansaaraa, this world.

janam maran kaatay gur bachnee bahurh na sankat du-aaraa, janam maran kaatay gur bachnee, Guru Arjan Dev ji says through the Guru’s bachan, through the Guru’s words, through the Guru’s rahat, through the Guru’s lifestyle, through the Guru’s instruction, my janam maran, my birth and death, my rebirth and my death, again and again, have been kaatay, have been removed, have been ended. bahurh na sankat du-aaraa, Guru ji says bahurh na, I will not have to go again through the du-aaraa, the door of sankat, of pain – this world Guru ji is talking about. Guru Sahib j says that person who has the Grace of the True Guru, does not have to enter the door of pain again, does not have to enter the world of maya again. He goes straight into nirankaar. In the last line, Guru Arjan Dev ji says,

naanak saran gahee su-aamee kee punah punah namaskaaraa, naanak saran gahee su-aamee kee , Nanak, has taken the saran, the protection of the su-aamee, of the Lord and Master; punah punah namaskaaraa, and Guru Sahib ji says again and again, punah punah, again and again and again, with love, respect and devotion, namaskaaraa, I bow down to that True Lord.

Guru Arjan Dev ji Maharaj is telling us, O human, if you want peace and poise and ultimate balance, then go into the Sadh Sangat now, as soon as you can and meditate upon Satnam Siri Waheguru.
