Millions, millions, tens of millions seek,

He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this.

Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation?

I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me.

After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints;

all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated.

mehal bulaaeiaa prabh anmrith bhoonchaa |
God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name.

Says Nanak, my God is lofty and exalted. ||4||1||

Guru Arjun Devji Maharaj speaks in the Vadahans raag today. Guru ji says, “Ik oankaar sathigur prasaadh”. There is one all powerful Waheguru who brings light and breath to all, who is found through the true Guru’s grace. Guru Arjun Devji says, “Ath oochaa thaa kaa dharabaaraa. The court of the Lord is higher than high, it is the highest. Anth naahee kish paaraavaaraa. There is no end to the Lord’s court, there is no limit, it’s beyond all limits. Kott kott kott lakh dhaavai. Guru sahibji says, ”Millions and millions of people, tens of millions are searching for Waheguru but eik thil thaa kaa mehal n paavai. Those people cannot even find a til. Til means a tiny bit, it literally means a seed. So they cannot even a seed worth of that Mehal, of that So Dar, of that Darbar of Waheguru, of that court of Waheguru. Suhaavee koun s vaelaa jith prabh maelaa. When is that auspicious time, that blessed time when I will be united with my Lord Waheguru.

Rehaao. Guruji says, “Pause and think about this.”

Laakh bhagath jaa ko aaraadhehi. Tens of thousands of devotees, Gurmukhs coloured in love meditate upon that Waheguru. Laakh thapeesar thap hee saadhehi. Tens of thousands of ascetics practice ascetic penances. Laakh jogeesar karathae jogaa. Tens and thousand of Yogis are practicing Yoga. Laakh bhogeesar bhogehi bhogaa. Tens of thousands of people who seek pleasure are living their desires. Ghatt ghatt vasehi jaanehi thoraa. In each of their hearts, in the Yogis, in the bhogis, in the tapis, in the bhagats, Waheguru abides, but only a few people who this.

Hai koee saajan paradhaa thoraa. Is there any friend who can rip away this curtain? Guru Nanak Devji says in Japji sahib, “Kiv kooray tuthay paal. The veil of falsehood separates me from my Waheguru.” Karo jatan je hoye meharvana. I can only do these things, I can only try if that great friend, if that great Mahapurakh becomes merciful to me. Thaa ko dhaeee jeeo kurabaanaa. To that person who is merciful upon me, that holy person, that blessed one, that friend, I would give my soul and body sacrifice to that person. Firath firath santhan pehi aaeiaa. After going through so many cycles (firath means walking along and along), after wondering through so many life forms I have been blessed to come to the saints, to find the sanctuary of the saints, of the holy ones. Dhookh bhram hamaaraa sagal mittaaeiaa. What have the saints done? They have erased the doubts and the pain in my heart. Mehal bulaaeiaa prabh anmrith bhoonchaa. God Himself has summoned me to His mansion, to His court and Waheguru has blessed me with the Amrit for me to enjoy. He has blessed with the immortal nector of His name for me to enjoy. Kahu naanak prabh maeraa oochaa. Nanak says, “My Waheguru, my Satguru, my God is the highest of the high.”

Guru Arjun Devji here is talking about the court of the Lord and how through the grace of the Guru and the holy friends we can reach that court.
