The hukam today is by Guru Arjun Devji and in this hukam He describes the man of God and the blessing of the man of God. One who loves God’s lotus feet sees him in all the ten directions. He gives up the illusion of maya and sees through it to the blissful form of the Sadhsangat with which he becomes one. The lord fills my mind, with my mouth I chant His name. I see Him wherever I go, all over the world. O Nanak those who try to look great are not great. Hearing the praises of God I become alive. He dwells in little shack, in tattered clothes, he has no social status, no honor and no respect. He wanders in the woods, he has no friends, he has no lover, he has no money. He is not handsome. He has no relatives and no family. But even though he appears worthless he is the king of the whole world because his mind is filled with God’s name. By the dust of his feet thousands are saved because God is very pleased with him.
