Guru Maharaj, Guru Arjan Dev ji is talking to us in the Raag Dhanasaree, the Raag by listening to which all anxieties and worries fall away and is complete state of divine relaxation.
Guru Arjan Dev ji says, har har leenae sa(n)th oubaar, har har, Waheguru, leenae, He does what? santh means saint, oubaar means to save, Waheguru ji saves his saints, no matter what. Whether it is Satjug and it is Bhagat Prahlad versus Harnakash, whether it it Kaljug and it is Guru Gobind Singh versus the tyranny of Aurangzeb.
har kae dhaas kee chithavai buriaaee this hee ko fir maar, har kae dhaas means servant of the Lord, chithavai means to wish, buriaaee means misfortune, one who wishes misfortune upon the servant of God, what happens to that person ? this hee ko fir maar, that person, this hee, ko, to that person, fir, in the end that person is maar, is eventually destroyed by God. Not physically, but spiritually that person is destroyed. Mentally, physically, spiritually, that person is completely destroyed. By wishing bad upon someone who is in love with God, one of God’s devotees, you destroy the goodness within you.
rehaao, Guruji says Pause and Think about this.
jan kaa aap sehaaee hoaa ni(n)dhak bhaagae haar, jan means the servant, aap means Waheguru Himself, sehaaee means support, Waheguru Himself is the support of His servants, hoaa means to be, ni(n)dhak, the slanderers, the people who slander God’s servants, God’s beloved ones, bhaagae means to run away, haar means they lose everything. Waheguru is the support of His servants and the slanderers run away, having been defeated by God Himself.
bhramath bhramath oohaa(n) hee mooeae baahurr grihi n ma(n)jhaar, bhramath bhramath means by wandering around, in the wilderness of this world, oohaa(n) hee mooeae, oohaa(n) means there, hee means on that spot, mooeae means die, they die wandering around aimlessly, those nindhaks, those slanderers; baahurr means again, grihi means home, n ma(n)jhaar means never to return. They never come back to their home, they never return home, they wander around aimlessly. What does that mean? They wander through re-incarnation again and again, being born again and again. They never come back into human form to meditate upon God; because, they have taken themselves down such a bad route.
naanak saran pariou dhukh bha(n)jan gun gaavai sadhaa apaar, naanak has pariou, has fallen into the saran, the sanctuary of the dhukh bhanjan, of Waheguru, who is the destroyer of pain. What happens then? What does Nanak do? gun gaavai, gaavai means to sing, gun means Praises of God, Nanak sings the Praises of God; sadhaa apaar, again and again of God, who is infinite. But what happens to the slanderer?
ni(n)dhak kaa mukh kaalaa hoaa dheen dhuneeaa kai dharabaar, the mukh, the face of the nindhak, of the slanderer, the one who slanders the one who is love with God, kaalaa hoaa, kaalaa means black, hoaa means to happen. The faces of those slanderers are blackened; dheen dhuneeaa kai dharabaar, in this world, in the dhuniya and deen, and in the Court of God. Their faces are blackened in this world and the next.
Guru ji is saying the saints will be saved by Waheguru, but the person who slanders the saints, only the saints can forgive them. In Sukhmani Sahib ji it is said Nanak sant sa(n)g nindhak bhee taraea, if the sant wants, if the saint forgives that person, he can save even the slanderer. May Waheguru protect us from slander and we may not slander any other living being. Let our ardas be especially not to slander the ones who are in love with God.
Sometimes we see someone who has genuine love for God and we poke fun of them and say it is fake. Let us look within ourselves before we poke fun of others, because it may cost us our soul.
har har leenae sa(n)th oubaar || dhaas kee chithavai buriaaee this hee ko fir maar ||1|| rehaao ||
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa! Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
